Hello hello HELLO! I am super excited you are on this page!! That means your pregnant and want to take control of your birth!! And that makes my heart warm!! <3 I am a doula in Mid-Kansas area .... Salina, Belleville, Beloit, Clay Center, and surrounding areas. If you are interested in having support of a doula during your birth, you have come to the right place!! I have my certification through Birth Arts International.
What is a doula??
A doula, also known as a birth companion, birth coach or post-birth supporter, is a non-medical companion who supports a birthing woman by providing continuous care before, during, or after childbirth in the form of information, physical support, and emotional support. Yes, I googled the definition (haha). But seriously us doulas are the number one tool to have at your birth no matter how you plan on birthing. We never take the place of your significant other but share in ways to help them better support you! <3

What do your doula services cover?
2 prenatal visits
-we will cover what ever you feel is needed for your birth prep from how to develop/write your birth plan, what to expect, when to head to the hospital, childbirth education intro, positions to use in birthing time, hypnobabies, coping techniques, breastfeeding education, to even meal prep and organization of your home
Pregnancy and Birth library
-I have tons of books both pregnancy, birth, and postpartum related available for check-out
-You can also check out my hypnobabies childbirth class prep workbook
Unlimited email/text support in pregnancy
On Call 24/7 Surrounding birth date
unlimited labor support!
yes even at your home. YES even if your birth lasts over 24hrs! Cesarean birth too! I will also be with you at least 2hrs postpartum to help with any clean up and breastfeeding support.
At least 1 postpartum visit
choose if you want a house chore completed for you, me to snuggle your baby while you nap/shower, cook a home made meal, or all of the above

I have studies hypnobabies, Bradley method, along with my certification through the Birth Arts International
Backup Doula for your birth
backup doula will chat with you before your birth so you can get to know her in case she ends up being your doula so you won't have a stranger at your birth <3
Complementary birth & Fresh 48 Photos(1st 2hrs postpartum) -*cellphone quality* taken during birth if you choose & right after birth capturing all those fresh raw moments of first meeting your little one! All images will be delivered to you via gallery with download and printing rights.

-I completed the SPINNING BABIES workshop that will allow me to teach you stretches, poses, and exercises in pregnancy to promote a faster, easier, more peaceful birth. SPINNING BABIES also has positions and stretches that are used in birthing time if baby is posterior or breech to allow the most room for baby to rotate into best position for birth.
-completed the HYPNOBABIES HOME STUDY COURSE so i can give you an intro on these techniques that reframe your view of birth, help erase fear, and in the end you are able to enjoy a more peaceful birth experience
-Attended 2019 KANSAS BREECH WITHOUT BORDERS WORKSHOP taught by David Hayes, MD; Stuart Fischbein, MD FACOG; and Rixa Freeze, PhD.
- Attended a 2 day workshop with the worldwide famous midwife INA MAY GASKIN
-Bloodborne Pathogen Prevention Certification
-Professional Photographer with my BFA in photography BA in Art Education if you would like to add on birth photography, maternity photography, and more

- 25% decrease in the risk of Cesarean; the largest effect was seen with a doula (39% decrease)*
- 8% increase in the likelihood of a spontaneous vaginal birth; the largest effect was seen with a doula (15% increase)*
- 10% decrease in the use of any medications for pain relief
- Shorter labors by 41 minutes on average
- 38% decrease in the baby’s risk of a low five minute Apgar score
- 31% decrease in the risk of being dissatisfied with the birth experience; mothers’ risk of being dissatisfied with the birth experience was reduced with continuous support provided by a doula or someone in their social network (family or friend), but not hospital staff
