Hello there my gorgeous person looking at my site!! You found me! Not in the weird way.
Somethings about me....
I love my three little girls (like duh!), my weird pug too but most of my crew has feathers (Bach, Bach, bachhhhhh hahaaa Chickens say Bach ...right?), hoarding thrift shop and garage finds..... thats my jam man. Did I mention I am obsessed with birth?
I earned my Bachelors of Fine Arts of Photography from Kansas State in 2009 and yes my Prek-12th Art education degree too (thats a story for another time)
I am a former art educator (oops heres some of the story lol) and still love to use my knowledge of teaching to educate Mothers the ends and outs of the hood and childbirth. I'm no mommy pro, but its fun to laugh at the random events that take place with our children. WHY did I choose Motherhood photography?
I LOVE using photography to build women up, to celebrate their stories! Hey, I get it...your normally the one behind the camera with the messy bun. You look like you just got hit by a train and lets face it, you probably don't want to be in the shot anyways ...because its Tuesday and you haven't taken a bath since Saturday. No judgement here... come on all of us moms have been there. Thats why with my photography Id like the day to be all about Mom. Hair, Makeup, hey I will personally help you even pick out the absolute best outfit for your session too! ....hey its your day! I put you as the center of attention. Yes, you MOM!! But if your willing to embrace the crazy and have a raw lifestyle session....then Im your gal!
But before my days of less showers, before I was a mom...I had no idea about this thing called Motherhood. Birth of my first really empowered me and inspired me to start sharing my birth story and start helping other women realize birth is not something to be afraid of. With my photography I hope to shine some light, open up doors, and normalize birth. I am also a DOULA with my certification through the Birth Arts Institution. I love helping women to have the empowering birth that they dream of. <3 (for more info on my doula work click here)
